Alhambra's Older-Home AC Repair Specialists
Brighton Air Systems repairs, installs, and maintains air conditioning and heating systems for Alhambra's mid-century homes and small multi-unit buildings — where original ductwork, wall furnaces, and tight crawlspaces need a technician who's worked on them before.
About Us
Brighton Air Systems is based at 608 S Palm Ave in Alhambra, working throughout a city where a large share of the housing stock dates back to the 1920s through 1950s — meaning original duct runs, wall furnaces, and additions that weren't always planned around the HVAC system.
Owner Emmett Vance built the business around that reality: instead of pushing a full system replacement on every call, the first step is always figuring out what the existing setup can handle and what actually needs to change.
What We Do
Repairs and installs that work with what's already in the walls, not against it.
AC repair covering capacitors, contactors, refrigerant leaks, and blower motors, with extra attention to older duct systems and tight attic or crawlspace access common in Alhambra homes.
Central air and ductless mini-split installation, including options for homes and small multi-unit buildings where adding full ductwork isn't practical.
Furnace, wall heater, and heat pump repair and installation — including older wall furnace units still common in Alhambra's mid-century homes.
Seasonal tune-ups for older systems that need a closer look than newer equipment.
Troubleshooting for systems with recurring issues tied to original ductwork or past additions.
Filtration and duct-sealing options that also help with energy loss common in older duct runs.

Not every company is comfortable troubleshooting duct runs that predate modern HVAC standards — ask directly.
A technician should explain what's actually failing before suggesting a repair or replacement.
California HVAC work should be performed under a licensed contractor, with a firm price in writing before any work starts.
